SKIN
Skin retouching is something that comes down to personal preference. It can be a subtle clean up of a few basic lines and blemishes or smoothing and contouring of skin tones changing the light and shadows to create structure and dimension to the face.
IMAGE COMPING
This technique is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into a single images, often to create the illusion that all of those elements are parts of the same scene. Below are two examples of this,
This image has not only had the background cleaned up and the lighting and contrast enhanced but all of the products have been added from different sources to give the illusion that this had been shot insitu
Here I was required to take separate images of two models and combine them to make one seamless image. Making sure both models were proportioned correctly and their tones and lighting are balanced.
GOSH!
A combination of product shots and stock images, I used adjustment layers and lighting effects to build a visually engaging ad that captured the brands fun nature while also meeting the clients brief.
Travelodge
Having shot the rugby ball outside on the rooftop of our studio, I seamlessly combined multiple stock images to create a dynamic scene that looks as if it was shot in a packed rugby stadium. This not only saved our production team valuable time and resources but also highlights the power of creativity and a touch of Photoshop magic.
